Why We Make a Terrible Decision?

Now, I’m addicted to Linkedin, one of the social media that make our career easier.

How can I say that? Because Linkedin helps us to connect with professionals or experts (of course it trusted). Many companies use Linkedin to search job seekers. It shows our educations, experiences, skills, and much more. Not only that, Linkedin has many features such as a pulse (articles about many substances), groups (with the others that have same interest), you can find your favorite companies around the world, and so on.

And I’d like to open the pulse about best advice or about leadership because I attracted with them. And I want to share what’s the point of the article that I’ve read.

So, why we make a terrible decision? Because….

  1. We didn’t gather enough information –> we almost feel that our information about something has enough, but there is still much information that we don’t know. So, we have to gather information as detail as possible.
  2. We didn’t consider the trade-offs. –> sometimes we just think about our decision, we don’t see the whole of the problem that can make other possible decisions. So, we have open-mind before we decide what we have to choose.
  3. We didn’t consider the full impact. –> every decision has consequences, what will happen if we choose decision A? and what will happen if we choose decision B? The consequences or the impacts can be positive or negative. Before we choose A or B, we have to know all about the detail consequence of them.
  4. We weren’t clear on your motives. –> because we don’t know our purposes clearly, we can fall into a terrible decision. Why? Because it is so important, we can’t start a process without a purpose. and we should have a clear purpose because it help us to achieve our goals.

Well, let’s make a better decision! Not only me but you too 🙂
